  1. Ron McNeil, I read your post, and it is demonstrative of the problems with this neosocialist movement. You regurgitated a list of grievances, and like a plate of spaghetti, threw them against the wall with the hope that one of them would stick. Included in your laundry list are the following: taxes, wages, home finance, jobs, owner’s profits, campaign finance, law passage procedure, media bias, voter registration and the electoral college system. These issues are wholly interdependent from each other. By not making a stand on anything you, along with the rest of your comrades, addressed none of these issues.

    • To Patriot:

Every single one of those issues have been ignored for far too long. If nothing else, we hope to educate people about the degradation of our society as Americans, and reduce the apathy that seems to now run rampant through our populace. You may not agree with what we ARE doing, but you must agree that if nothing is at least attempted, nothing will ever be accomplished.

    • Occupy Wall Street encourages the diverse concerns and the views of a diverse America. We are in the first stage of activism: Frustration expressed nonviolently through gathering and demonstrating our constitutional rights. But, I will articulate some of my frustrations: Level the playing field on taxation, Enact the Buffet Rule. Protect collective bargaining. I don’t want my children to fight the same fight my immigrant ancestors fought over servitude. Many people at these demonstrations are barely treading water and just need help NOW. It is hard to think about the finer points of demands when you don’t know where you will be living tomorrow or where your next meal is coming from.

  2. While I understand, to not make stands on specific points ,Jobs, Taxes on the ( Greedy rich),forclosures, disparity in wages and owners profits, Etc. We must remember, that when a person is elected, his or her main job is to get relected, ergo corporate unamerica, who donate ungodly amounts of money to candidates, and their parties. Now these candidates are owned by corporate unamerica ,and pass bills, and laws to help them, Not the people. And who? owns all the media,(tv,radio), Your very rich corporate unamerica,so be wary of what you listen to. please register to vote so we can overcome the “electoral college” scam.
