-Attendees: Tiffany/Dave (facilitators), Darcey (stack), Sea (note taker), Ellen, Dick, Ryan, Jimmy, Alan, Celia, Joe, Jessie, Bakari, Jen, De, Shanti, and others.
Facilitation.
- Dave. Hand signals. Facilitation or NVC training each Wed after GA.
-Sea. Put announcements before guest speaker, so announcements are heard before people drift away during guest speaker. No smoking.
Reports
-Jessie. UOC Mon 6pm is discussing CA SB362 to restrict electronic surveillance of people that uses radio technology and puts implants in people. Afghanistan prisoners have been injected with implants.
-Bakari. UOC last Thu debriefed MLK day regarding child poverty and occupying families.
-Alan. Labor and Environment Working Group (OSWGWHE) is planning action on gas fracking, forest clear-cutting, and other destructive practices. The destructive practices are approved in Sacramento at the State's enviromental, forestry, and fish and game offices all close to César Chavez. Environmental activists see supporting Occupy as very important.
-Jimmy. OSWGWHE, the meetings are public but not publicized but the Industry always knows about them to come and block good ecological practice. Its like "Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy" where notices of public meetings were posted on Alpha Centauri, while the aliens paved over planet Earth.
Full-Timers.
-Joe. Working on library, minutes, donation, OccuCarts and food. Asked why a non-profit status hasn't been applied for. De said its because of the new year and the finance people are busy.
Announcements.
Ryan. Doing outreach and City College with Tshirts. SeanL also doing Tshirts.
Crowd. Del Paso and Twin Rivers having trouble with police. Take money out of banks, and foreclosures are prohibited by many States, though obviously banks do it anyway with fraudulent paper trails.
De. She complained to the police that the Police Union website showed an officer in uniform in an official setting denouncing Occupy. The police brushed her off.
