Occupy Sacramento General Assembly Minutes Day 72
Friday, December 16, 2024

I. Introduction
1.1 Kern from Occupy Humboldt
II. Committee/ Working Group Reportbacks

Greg – Library
- Scott will be working with the library this coming Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Fago - Food
- Will be getting two push carts to transport food. Will need volunteers to help transport the food and do the loading and unloading.

Brother Carter – Urban Outreach WG
-The Bill of Rights March got a good turnout and good coverage. We had groups from Peace Action, Veterans for Peace, ACLU, Occupy Tuolumne County and Occupy Placer County.
- A new flier/brochure was printed as a introduction and explanation of the Occupy/99% movement. He wants the focus to be on getting it out to the general public.
-The working group is focusing on a day in CC Plaza with music for MLK Day. To be planned in connection with SEIU’s activities.

Tiffany NVC- Facilitation WG
NVC meetings will be on Sat @ 4-5pm
Facilitation meetings will be on sat @ 3-4pm
David is going to be Facilitating on Saturday.
Coordination meeting postponed until next Monday.

VI. Announcements
Greg – Reported that this morning a fire engine stopped in front of the lawn of Old City Hall and a fireman got out to thank the occupiers for what they are doing.

Kirk - Green Energy Options
-Nathan and Kirk built two carts for transporting food.
-UC Davis is coming to the capitol in the near future. We want to reach out to them to bolster their numbers.

-Kern – Port of Oakland shutdown was a success. Occupy Humboldt will be coming to Sacramento in March. In June, they plan on going to D.C. to occupy.

-Kim Sloan – She is reaching out to the LGBT community, to get them more involved. She wants to contact Outward Magazine. Fago says he will assist her.
- Kim also mentioned a drive to recall Mayor Johnson and much of the City Counsel starting in February.

-Brother Carter mentioned an upcoming Santa Action.
