That's right, it's my fault for not psychically knowing who I should email to beg to vlunteer my time... (and for the record, most of my past messages to OS members and official email addresses were not returned)

Is it REALLY that difficult to announce meetings in advance, so that new members can join and help?? Some committees and workgroups seem capable of it, but others just seem unwilling...

Facebook message from Nathan to Autumn, Dec 4: "Hi Autumn, please let me know what you need help with in media, especially things I can do off-site. I have a lot of media experience, and am looking for more ways to help! "

Facebook message from Autumn to Nathan, Jan 4: "Sorry I just saw this, it showed up in a weird section of my facebook messages. I'd like to set up a media recruitment event sometime next month would you be game for helping me plan it? As of right now there's not much going on for us media folks to do....but come spring things are going to hectic and we're going to need a ton of help and equipment."

Facebook message from Nathan to Autumn, Jan 4: "YES I'm definitely down to help!"

Since you want to be snarky Nathan, You messaged me before to inquire about things.. BUT you never followed through. I'm not going to chase volunteers, and neither is anyone else. Saying you want to help is one thing, but actually showing up when another thing. I set up media recruitment days, and team meet & greets (which I avidly announced via Facebook). How do you think Tyler got so involved? He showed up when those things were scheduled, or corresponded with myself and others consistently.

If it'll make your life easier, and get you more involved...I'll crawl to the forum with every bit of information on media meetings I have. I just want things to get done (and in an orderly fashion).

Sorry, I probably did miss that on Facebook, but I do read the daily update emails, and GA minutes, and never saw anything? I'd like to help you do less work, not more... we just need to stay on the same page somehow, and up until now Sea has been the only person who keeps everyone up-to-date on what's happening, he's the one who got me in contact with Tyler so that I got an invite to the CC meeting in Jan.

Anyway, my only point is that it's hard to find out what meetings are happening, and that hurts internal communication, and definitely hurts recruitment of volunteers who want to attend. We should all work on this...
